The Center for Islamic Studies will host a national conference in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, February 14-16, 2013. This conference is expected to host 500 persons from across the United States and many foreign countries. The convention will have no fewer than 250 research sessions, panel discussions, round tables and other appropriate formats for sharing of information. A number of special events will also be scheduled for attendees.

The convention will have no fewer than 250 research sessions, panel discussions, round tables and other appropriate formats for sharing of information. A number of special events will also be scheduled for attendees.

Persons interested in presenting a paper, round table, etc. should submit an abstract, not to exceed two (2) pages, which relate to any aspect of Islam. Subjects may include, but are not limited to: history, Muslim religion, beliefs and practices, role of women, education, Islam in popular culture, world affairs, etc. Please indicate the time required for presentation of your paper (25 OR 45 minutes).

Interested scholars should submit his/her abstract with presenter’s name, institution/organization, address, phone and email no later than Friday, November 9, 2012.
